WLN-CA.W.27.3Determination of anions; ionchromatographin-house method
Principle:Bromate, chloride, chlorate, bromide and nitrate are separated in a column filled withion exchange resins with low capacity, consisting of inert cores ofstyrene / divinylbenzene copolymer in which added tetramethyl-ammonium groups. As eluent, a sodium carbonate / sodium hydrogen carbonate solution is used. The separated ions are detected by measuring thespecific (electrical) conductivity of the liquid flow. By placing amembrane suppressor, the cations in the sample and the sodium ions from the eluent are exchanged against hydronium ions (H3O +). As a result, the conductivity of the eluent, through the formation ofH2CO3, is significantly reduced. Due to the higher specificconductivityof the hydrogen ion in relation to the other cations a significantly higher sensitivity is obtained.
Determination:@Bromide
Performance characteristics:
Reporting limit:5 μg/l, matrix dependent
Measurement uncertainty:35%
Sampling bottle:Plastic , clear , 125 ml
