| The sample, or a dilution of it, is filtered through a 0.45 μm membrane filter, after which the membrane filter is anaerobically incubated at 44 °C on a medium with such selective characteristics thatvegetative cells and traces of Clostridium perfringens will form characteristic colonies. Confirmation of the typical colonies is executed by MALDI-TOF. |
