Carbon dioxide is titrated with a sodium hydroxide solution to a pH of 8.35. The enzyme carbonic anhydrase accelerates the hydration ofcarbon dioxide and consequently the titration. The titrated quantity of sodium hydroxide solution is a measure for the quantity of carbon dioxide. |
