WLN-CA.W.11.2Determination of the free carbon dioxide content (titrimetrical)in-house method
Principle:Carbon dioxide is titrated with a sodium hydroxide solution to a pH of 8.35. The enzyme carbonic anhydrase accelerates the hydration ofcarbon dioxide and consequently the titration. The titrated quantity of sodium hydroxide solution is a measure for the quantity of carbon dioxide.
Determination:Free carbondioxide
Performance characteristics:
Matrices qualified by the Dutch RvA:Drinking water, Groundwater, Surface water
Reporting limit:2 mg/l, matrix dependent
Measurement uncertainty:15%
Sustainability:1 day
Sampling bottle:Plastic , clear , 250 ml (fill up to cap)
