WLN-BM.W.01.2Determination of bacteria of the coli group in water by means of membrane filtration (standard test).equivalent to NEN-EN-ISO 9308-1
Principle:The sample is filtered through a suitable membrane filter. Next the filter, after a short incubation at 25 °C, is incubated at 37 °C on a solid, lactose-containing medium (LSA) with such selectivecharacteristics that bacteria of the coli group will form characteristic colonies. The suspected characteristic colonies are confirmed by means of MALDI-TOF.Equality compaired to the NEN relates to the use of LSA medium instead of CCA. The confirmation with classic methods is replaced by confirmation using the MALDI-TOF.
Determination:E.coli
Performance characteristics:
Matrices qualified by the Dutch RvA:Drinking water, Groundwater
Reporting limit:1 kve/100ml, matrix dependent
Measurement uncertainty:35%
Sustainability:1 day , if conserved with NTA and Na-thiosulphate
Sampling bottle:Plastic , white , 500 ml , conservation with NTA and Na-thiosulphate (fill up to the neck of the bottle)
