WLN-CA.W.22.2Determination of the electrical conductivityin accordance with NEN-ISO 7888
Principle:In a electrolyte solution the electrical current is led through the positive and negative ions. When using electrolyte solutions as conductor, it is not the resistance (unit ohm) which is taken into account, but the reciprocal value, the conductivity. Within certain limits, there is a linear connection between (specific) conductivity and ion concentration. The EC is among other things dependent on the temperature of the solution. The measured values are corrected to a value at 20.0 °C. The EC is determined conductometrically after 30 seconds by means of an immersion electrode.
Determination:Conductivity, low level, at 20 C
Performance characteristics:
Reporting limit:0.5 uS/cm, matrix dependent
Sustainability:1 day
Sampling bottle:Plastic , clear , 500 ml (fill up to cap)
