WLN-CO.W.02.1Determination of volatile organic components by means of head-space and GC-MSin-house method
Principle:A water sample is heated. The volatile compounds are injected from the head-space, trapped on a cold-trap and by thermal desorption transferred to the analytical column. The volatile compounds are gaschromatically separated and detected by a mass selective detector.
Determination:Volatile organohalogenated compounds
Performance characteristics:
Matrices qualified by the Dutch RvA:Drinking water, Groundwater, Surface water, Swimmingpool water
Reporting limit:0.05 - 0.1 μg/l, parameter and matrix dependent
Measurement uncertainty:35%
Sustainability:7 days , if conserved with H2SO4
Sampling bottle:Glass , brown , 200 ml , conservation with H2SO4 (fill up to cap)
Parameters:
(RL = 0.05 μg/l)trichloromethane (chloroform); tetrachloromethane; bromochloromethane; bromodichloromethane; dibromochloromethane; tribromomethane (bromoform); 1,2-dichloroethane; 1,1,1-trichloroethane; 1,1,2-trichloroethane; 1,1,2,2-tetrachloroethane; trichloroethene (tri); tetrachloroethene (per); hexachloroethane; hexachlorobutadiene; 1,1,1,2-tetrachloroethane; 1,2-dibromoethane; 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane; 1-bromo-3-chloropropane; dibromomethane
