WLN-CA.W.33.2	Determination of the orthophosphate content in water by means of thediscrete analyser.	in-house method
Principle:	Ammonium molybdate in an acid environment with orthophosphate ions, antimony oxyions and ascorbic acid will form a blue coloured compound. The intensity of the blue colour is measured at 880 nm and is a measure for the phosphate content in question.
Determination:	Ortho phosphate (mg P)

Matrices qualified by the Dutch RvA:	Drinking water, Groundwater, Surface water
Reporting limit:	0.02 mg P/l, matrix dependent
Measurement uncertainty:	20%
Sustainability:	13 days , if conserved with H2SO4
Sampling bottle:	Glass , brown , 100 ml , conservation with H2SO4 (fill up to the neck of the bottle)
