This instruction describes a method for the determination of the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) in waste water. In a vial hexane and internal standard is added to the sample. After extraction the extract is analysed by means of on-column injection, capillarygas chromatography and mass-selective detection. Identification and quantification are preferably executed with 3 SRMs, by comparing the retention times and by calculating the peak area. Corrections are made for the internal standards. |
