The phosphor compounds present in the soil are extracted during an established time with an ammonium lactate/acetic acid solution. In this process a certain part op the phosphate compounds dissolves. Next the phosphate content in the extract is measured with the discrete analyser: ammonium molybdate in an acid environment with orthophosphate ions, antimony oxyions and ascorbic acid will form a blue coloured compound. The intensity of the blue colour is measured at 880 nm and is a measure for the phosphate content in question. |
