WLN-M.B.08.04Determination of pH with field pH-metersin accordance with NEN-ISO 10523
Principle:The pH is measured by means of a combined electrode. This consists of a reference electrode (calomel electrode, filled with a saturated potassium chloride solution) and an indication electrode (glass electrode). At the interface of two solutions with different concentrations a difference of potential is present. By means of the combined electrode this difference of potential is measured and read off by means of a pH meter.
Determination:pH, in situ
Performance characteristics:
Matrices qualified by the Dutch RvA:Drinking water, Groundwater, Surface water, Swimmingpool water
Measurement uncertainty:0.3pH
