WLN-BM.W.07.2Enumeration of the spores of sulfite-reducing clostridia; membrane filtration.in accordance with NEN-ISO 6461-2 (1993)
Principle:After pasteurizing at 70-75°C, the sample is filtered through a suitable membrane filter. Next the filter is incubated anaerobicallyat 37 °C on a solid ferruginous and sulphite-containing medium with such selective characteristics that only traces of sulphite-reducing Clostridia will form typical black colonies.
Determination:Sulfite-reducing clostridia
Performance characteristics:
Matrices qualified by the Dutch RvA:Drinking water, Groundwater, Surface water, Swimmingpool water
Reporting limit:1 kve/100ml, matrix dependent
Measurement uncertainty:35%
Sustainability:3 days , if conserved with NTA and Na-thiosulphate
Sampling bottle:Plastic , white , 500 ml , conservation with NTA and Na-thiosulphate (fill up to the neck of the bottle)
