WLN-CA.W.02.3Determination of TOC in water by means of combustionin accordance with NEN-EN 1484
Principle:The sample is acidified with hydrochloric acid and next blown out with oxygen. Next the sample is injected on a platinum catalyst at 680 °C. The resulting CO2 is detected by a NDIR detector. The signal isameasure for the dissolved organic carbon content.
Determination:T.O.C.
Performance characteristics:
Matrices qualified by the Dutch RvA:Wastewater, Drinking water, Groundwater, Surface water
Reporting limit:1 mg/l, matrix dependent
Measurement uncertainty:40%
Sustainability:7 days , if conserved with H2SO4
Sampling bottle:Glass , white , 100 ml , conservation with H2SO4 (fill up to the neck of the bottle)
